Isco part of City’s Reboot?

Another City transfer rumour which refuses to die concerns Real Madrid‘s midfield star Isco. The latest fuel for this fire comes with the conjecture that Madrid will do anything to keep the player out of Barcelona‘s hands, even if it means settling for a cut price deal.

CityWatch observes that the 24 year-old is out of contract in 2018 and places some stock in the views of Spanish journalist Diego Romano who has claimed that the player could be made available for as little as 15 million euros to ensure that he does not join Madrid’s hated rivals.

City fans will all know that Isco could have been ours in 2013 before Zidane swooped and thwarted Manuel Pellegrini‘s plans to build a team around him.

Since that move, Isco has been unable to cement a role under any coach at Madrid and many blues would be prepared to overlook that painful 4 year-old snub as Guardiola looks for upgrades on Yaya Touré and possibly also Fabian Delph and Fernando Reges in central midfield.
